The General Entertainment Authority

The General Entertainment Authority is a Saudi governmental body established in 2016 with the aim of developing and regulating the entertainment industry in Saudi Arabia. The authority works on enhancing the quality of life for citizens and residents by providing various events and activities across different fields, such as cultural, artistic, and sports events, as well as organizing music concerts, festivals, and competitions.

The authority also oversees the organization of entertainment markets and the creation of entertainment projects such as theme parks and cinemas. One of its most prominent initiatives is the Riyadh Season, which is one of the largest entertainment events in the region, along with other seasons like Jeddah Season and Eastern Province Season.

The authority aims to enhance the kingdom's position as a global tourist destination and make it a major entertainment hub in the Middle East.
