Competencies of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority within Royal Decree No. (107/2020):
Prepare plans and policies for the development of small and medium enterprises and handicrafts within the framework of the comprehensive national strategy for development, and submit them to the Council of Ministers for approval.
Work to provide an encouraging regulatory environment for the growth and development of small and medium enterprises and craft industries in coordination with the concerned authorities.
Preparing the executive plans and programs necessary to achieve the objectives of the Authority, in coordination with the competent authorities.
Providing financial, technical, administrative and legal advice to small and medium enterprises with the aim of developing them, enhancing their competitiveness, and enabling them to provide high-quality products.
Work to finalize the procedures for small and medium enterprises to obtain the necessary licenses and approvals to practice their activities, at the request of their owners, giving priority in this regard to applications submitted by enterprises whose owners devote themselves to managing them.
Encourage integration between SMEs and large corporations on the one hand, and industries and support services on the other.
Work to encourage marketing and promotion of the founder's products and services
